Street Chic, known as "Sheek" or Cartier in the barn, is a seven-year-old gelding standing 16.3 hands who's compiled an impressive string of derby wins and ribbons throughout the Northeast hunter circuit. He won the WCHR Saratoga Derby during the height of the summer season, then went on to earn additional derby ribbons at Fairfield, HITS Vermont, HITS Saugerties, and the Zone One Finals at the Big E. His pilot program describes him as easy across the ground with a great brain, the kind of horse who doesn't need excessive prep and is wonderful to flat and lovely to jump. Most recently he's been successful in the 3'6" hunter ring after progressing through the 3' and 3'3" divisions, and he's proven himself equally comfortable under both adult and junior riders, even earning a 12th place finish out of 70 entries in the Professional Medal class with Johanna Hyyppa. His easy-going temperament and rideability across different venues, from outdoor derbies to indoor finals at NEHC, suggest he'd be an excellent partner for an amateur looking to enjoy consistent rounds without the drama.
