Listing Overview

Birdie is the kind of 17.1-hand Dutch Warmblood gelding who's built a career on being everyone's trusted teacher. At 17, this seasoned hunter has packed miles of experience into his work at the 2'6" to 2'9" range, with a past that includes national derbies, medals, and even some time in the meter classes before settling into his current role as a confidence builder. He's genuinely forgiving with riders still finding their way, the type who'll quietly take care of a nervous child or first-time amateur without fuss, yet he's responsive enough for more polished riders to simply get into half seat and let him carry them effortlessly through their courses. His automatic lead changes and soft mouth make him as simple or sophisticated as his rider needs, and he's earned his place as a barn favorite by being consistently honest and adjustable despite his big frame. Picture the horse who can take your kiddo around their first course one day and pack around an adult amateur the next, all while making both feel like capable riders.
