Verdict is a sport horse marketplace operated by Vlada Lvova, based in Georgia, United States. By using getverdictapp.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Questions go to hello@getverdictapp.com.

What Verdict is

Verdict collects sport horse listings published on other marketplaces, puts them in one searchable place, and adds an analysis layer: an estimated fair value range, price history, comparable listings, and context you can use in a negotiation.

Verdict is a research tool. It is not a broker, an appraiser, an agent, a veterinarian, or a party to any horse sale.

The Verdict Estimate

This is the most important section in these terms, so it is written plainly.

The Verdict Estimate is a model. It is built from listing characteristics such as discipline, level, age, and region, and from comparison with similar listings. What it is not built from is confirmed sale prices, because reliable sold-price data barely exists in this market. Everything the model has learned, it has learned from what horses are advertised for, not from what they actually sold for. Those two numbers can differ considerably and we have no way to tell you by how much.

The Quality Score is a directional summary of the signals a listing shows. It is not a graded assessment of the horse and it is not calibrated against outcomes.

Market position labels, meaning Below Market, At Market, and Above Market, describe where an asking price sits relative to our estimate. They are descriptions, not recommendations. Verdict does not tell you to buy, not buy, or what to pay.

Because of all of the above:

We work hard on these numbers and we correct them when they are wrong. We do not guarantee them.

Listings and information from other sources

Most listings on Verdict come from other websites. We do not control that information and we do not verify it. Listings may be out of date, incomplete, inaccurate, or already sold. Photographs, descriptions, and claims about a horse come from the seller, not from us, and we present them as the seller's claims.

If you find a listing that is wrong, sold, or should not be here, use the report link on the listing or write to hello@getverdictapp.com.

We are not part of your transaction

Verdict does not sell horses, take a commission, hold funds, or participate in negotiations. Any agreement you reach is between you and the other party. We are not responsible for the conduct of buyers or sellers, the condition or suitability of any horse, the accuracy of any representation made to you, or anything that happens after an introduction.

Do your own due diligence. Get a pre-purchase exam. See the horse.

Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email address, so keeping that mailbox secure is how you keep your account secure. Tell us at hello@getverdictapp.com if you think someone else has access to your account.

You must be at least 18 to create an account.

If you list a horse on Verdict

You keep ownership of your listing content and your photos. You give Verdict permission to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the site and in related material such as search results, previews, and emails, for as long as your listing is live and for a reasonable period afterward.

When you list, you confirm that you have the right to sell the horse or are authorized to advertise it, that the information and photos you provide are accurate and yours to use, and that you will keep the listing current.

Photographs you upload are stored so they can be displayed publicly on the site.

We may edit, decline, or remove any listing, including for accuracy, quality, or policy reasons, and we may do so without notice.

Contacting sellers and sending listings to a trainer

These features exist so real buyers can reach real people. Use them for that.

You may not use them to send advertising, solicitations, bulk messages, or anything abusive, and you may not send a listing to someone who has not agreed to hear from you. We apply limits to these features and we may remove access if they are misused.

Acceptable use

Do not:

If you want to use Verdict's data for research, journalism, or a business purpose, ask. We are often happy to say yes.

Pricing and paid plans

Verdict is currently free. There is no payment processing on the site and nobody can be charged today.

Any pricing shown on the site describes plans we intend to offer. If and when paid plans launch, the price, billing cycle, and cancellation terms will be shown clearly before you pay and will govern that subscription. You will be able to cancel at any time and your subscription will run through the end of the period you have paid for.

Founding members receive the terms described to them at the time they joined. We will honor those terms.

Our content and our data

The Verdict name, design, written analysis, estimate methodology, and the site itself belong to us.

Individual listing facts, such as a horse's age, height, or asking price, are facts and we make no ownership claim over any single one of them. Our compilation of them is different. The database Verdict has assembled, including price history over time, listing lifecycle records, comparable sets, and the analysis derived from them, represents substantial investment and is ours. You may not extract, copy, or reuse it in bulk.

You may share individual listings and reports with your trainer, veterinarian, or family. You may not republish Verdict's analysis at scale or present it as your own work.

Disclaimers

Verdict is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any estimate, score, listing, or other information on it is accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Verdict and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or losses arising from a horse purchase, sale, or valuation decision.

To the fullest extent the law allows, total liability for any claim relating to Verdict is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars or the amount you paid Verdict in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.

Indemnification

You agree to cover Verdict's reasonable costs if a claim arises from your misuse of the site, your listing content, your conduct toward another user, or your breach of these terms.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Verdict at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account information by writing to hello@getverdictapp.com.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses other users, or puts the service at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will say so on the site. Continuing to use Verdict after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and Verdict agree to that jurisdiction.
